Privacy

This statement covers onebay.co.nz, run by One Bay Limited (New Zealand) and One Bay Australia Pty Ltd. We follow the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 and the Australian Privacy Act 1988.

What we collect

If you use our contact form, we receive your name, work email, company, what you're interested in, and anything you choose to tell us about your locations or needs.

How we use it

We use it only to reply to you. The form sends your details to our inbox by email. We don't put them in any other system, sell them, or add you to a mailing list.

How the form works

The form is processed by Amazon Web Services in Sydney, Australia, which sends the email to us and a confirmation to you. To stop spam, it keeps your IP address and a one-time code for up to two hours, and a scrambled (one-way) copy of your email address for up to two days, so the form can't be used to send confirmations to other people. They are then deleted automatically (deletion can take up to two further days). Our email is hosted by Microsoft 365.

Analytics

We count page visits with Umami, which we host ourselves. It doesn't use cookies, doesn't track you across other websites, and doesn't record your IP address.

Your rights

You can ask to see or correct the information we hold about you, or ask us to delete it. Email info@onebay.co.nz.

If you're not happy with how we've handled your information, contact us first. You can also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner (New Zealand) or the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
