Context
East Coast Car Rentals returns a steady stream of vehicles through its Brisbane Airport returns hall, around the clock. Like every operator, it needed a reliable record of each vehicle’s condition at the moment of return, without slowing the lanes down.
What we deployed
Two Archie systems, one per lane, in the returns hall. Each gantry has integrated lighting, so image quality is the same at any hour. Built-in licence plate recognition ties every pass to a vehicle in the fleet.
Vehicles drive through at normal speed. There are no barrier arms and no extra steps for customers or staff.
Outcome
Since November 2025, every vehicle returned through those lanes has a consistent, time-stamped image record. Specific results and a quote from East Coast Car Rentals — to confirm with Jono and the client.
